Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Tyler Wood earned a Bachelor of Science in 2006 from Truman State University, a Master of Science in 2008 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a Juris Doctor in 2011 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. From 2015 to 2023 he served as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Denver, and earlier held the same role in Arlington, Virginia (2012-2015). He entered federal service as a presidential management fellow in 2011. He is a member of the Missouri Bar.
