Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Alice Segal earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1992 from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor in 1995 from George Washington University Law School. Before her appointment, she served as a senior attorney with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in New York (2007-2010) and as an assistant chief counsel in New York (1998-2007), including a detail as a special assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York (2004), and earlier held positions as a law clerk and attorney advisor with the Board of Immigration Appeals through the Attorney General's Honors Program (1995-1998).
