Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Tiesha Peal earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 from Syracuse University and a Juris Doctor in 2004 from Rutgers-Newark School of Law. From 2016 to 2022, she served as an assistant district attorney at the Bronx District Attorney's Office. From 2014 to 2016, she was a staff attorney at District Council 37 Municipal Employees Legal Services, and from 2006 to 2014 she was a staff attorney at Essex-Newark Legal Services. She is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bars.
