Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Robert Gundlach earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor in 2009 from Wayne State University Law School. He began his legal career through the Attorney General's Honors Program, serving as a judicial law clerk and attorney advisor at the New York City Immigration Court from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016, he was an attorney advisor for the Board of Immigration Appeals, and from 2016 to 2020 he served as an assistant chief counsel for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Judge Gundlach is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the New York State Bar.
