Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Monte G Miller earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1989 from the University of Minnesota and a Juris Doctor in 1993 from William Mitchell College of Law. Before his appointment, he served as an assistant and senior attorney with the Hennepin County Attorney's Office, Criminal Division, in Minneapolis (2001-2019), and had an extensive military judicial career from 1994 to 2019 as a trial and appellate judge with the Navy-Marine Corps Trial Judiciary and the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals.
