Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Mary A. Futcher earned a Bachelor of Science in 1975 from East Stroudsburg University and a Juris Doctor in 1985 from the University of Bridgeport School of Law. She served as an assistant district attorney in Philadelphia (1985-1991), an associate at McKissock and Hoffman PC (1991-1992), and, over more than two decades, as an assistant U.S. attorney and attorney-in-charge in the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and as a trial attorney in the Counterterrorism Section of the Department of Justice's National Security Division (2010-2020). She was appointed an immigration judge in May 2024 and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.
