Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Kalin Ivany earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from Walla Walla University and a Juris Doctor in 2008 from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Before her appointment, she served as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (2010-2023), practiced immigration law with the Perretta Law Office (2009-2010), and served as an attorney advisor at the Salt Lake City Immigration Court through the Attorney General's Honors Program (2008-2009). She is a member of the Colorado Bar.
