Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Julia E Egy earned a Bachelor of Journalism in 1997 from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Juris Doctor in 2002 from American University Washington College of Law. From 2014 to 2022 she served as a senior panel attorney with the Board of Immigration Appeals, and from 2004 to 2014 held supervisory attorney and attorney advisor roles at the Board. Earlier she was in private practice and served as a judicial law clerk for the Baltimore, Philadelphia, and York immigration courts.
