Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Daniel J Daugherty earned a Bachelor of Science (1984) from Defiance College and a Juris Doctor (1987) from the University of Toledo College of Law. Before his appointment, he served for many years in the U.S. Marine Corps, including as a chief trial judge and circuit judge with the Navy-Marine Corps Trial Judiciary. He also worked as a special assistant U.S. attorney and an assistant county prosecutor.
