The Honorable Immigration Judge Clayton Lawrence earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2010 from Bowling Green State University, a Juris Doctor in 2013 from Ave Maria School of Law, a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies in 2025 from the U.S. Naval War College, and a Master of Laws in 2026 from Columbia Law School. From 2017 to 2025, he served as a judge advocate general's corps officer in the U.S. Navy, holding the rank of lieutenant commander. From 2015 to 2017, he served as the chief of litigation at the Department of Justice for the Federated States of Micronesia. From 2014 to 2015, he served as an assistant attorney general at the Pohnpei State Attorney General's Office. Judge Lawrence is a member of the Florida Bar and the Federated States of Micronesia Bar.
