Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Monica Neumann earned a Bachelor of Science in 2004 from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor in 2008 from Florida International University College of Law. She was in private practice at Monica Barba PA in Miami (2009-2010) and Grisel Ybarra PA in Miami (2010-2015), then served as an asylum officer with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in Miami (2015-2016) and as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in Miami (2016-2023). Judge Neumann is a member of the Florida Bar.
