Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Michael Lloyd earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1982 from the University of Wyoming, a Juris Doctor in 1989 from the University of South Dakota, and a Master of Laws in 1993 from the University of Denver. From 1991 to 2020, he served as an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel at the Internal Revenue Service, primarily in Denver, and earlier clerked for Bankruptcy Judge Peder K. Ecker in South Dakota (1989-1991). He served as a judge advocate in the Wyoming Air National Guard (1995-2010) and in the South Dakota Air National Guard (1985-1995). Judge Lloyd is a member of the State Bar of Colorado and the Wyoming State Bar.
