Background

The Honorable Immigration Judge Johanna P Gaymer earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and English in 2010 from Fordham University Lincoln Center and a Juris Doctor in 2013 from the University of Iowa College of Law. From May 2022 to April 2026, she held assistant chief counsel positions with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in New York and Philadelphia. She was appointed to the Philadelphia Immigration Court in May 2026 as part of the largest class of immigration judges in EOIR history.
