Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Jeffrey Frederick earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1994 from Syracuse University and a Juris Doctor in 1999 from the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Before his appointment, he served as an assistant chief counsel for ICE's Office of the Principal Legal Advisor in Los Angeles (2013-2022) and in Phoenix and Tucson (2009-2013). He earlier worked as a criminal defense lawyer and first assistant public defender in Oneida County, New York (2000-2009). He is a member of the Florida Bar and the New York State Bar.
