Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Gordon S. Vincent earned a Bachelor of Arts, with high distinction, in 1979 from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor in 1983 from the University of Virginia Law School. From July 2006 to December 2024, he served as chief judge of the general district courts of Accomack and Northampton Counties on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and from January 2025 to February 2026 he served as a substitute judge in multiple Virginia courts. From 1989 to June 2006, he was in private practice in Accomac, Virginia, and from 1983 to 1989 he practiced law in Columbia, South Carolina. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
