Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Dennis Ryan was appointed to begin hearing cases in November 2023. From 2020 to 2023 he served as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in New York City, and from 2018 to 2020 as an assistant corporation counsel with the New York City Office of Corporation Counsel. From 2013 to 2018 he served as an assistant district attorney with the Nassau County District Attorney's Office. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the New Jersey State Bar, and the New York State Bar.
