Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge David M Jones earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1988 and a Juris Doctor in 1992 from Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School, and a Master of Laws in Military Law in 2003 from The Judge Advocate General's School of the U.S. Army. He served 26 years on active duty as a judge advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps, including 11 years as a criminal trial judge along with prosecution and defense roles. He concluded his military career as an appellate judge on the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals.
