Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Andrew Hewitt earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2006 from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor in 2012 from Georgia State University College of Law. Before his appointment, he served as an assistant chief counsel and deputy chief counsel with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (2016-2022). He earlier practiced immigration law privately with Socheat Chea PC in Duluth, Georgia (2012-2016) and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
