Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Yvonne S Gonzalez earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1980 from Trinity University and a Juris Doctor in 1983 from St. Mary's School of Law. She served as a criminal assistant U.S. attorney in the Western District of Texas in San Antonio (2012-2016) and as a special assistant U.S. attorney for the Social Security Administration Anti-Fraud Unit in El Paso (2016-2017). Earlier she was a criminal assistant district attorney for the Bexar County District Attorney's Office (2006-2012) and a criminal assistant U.S. attorney in Laredo (1992-1998).
