Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Yon K Alberdi earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctor in 1999 from the University of Miami School of Law. Before his appointment, he served as an assistant chief counsel for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Orlando (2002-2015) and in Oakdale, Louisiana (2000-2002), entering federal service through the Attorney General's Honors Program. He is a member of the Florida Bar.
