Background

The Honorable Immigration Judge Tammy L Fitting earned a Bachelor of Arts (1986) and a Juris Doctor (1989) from the University of Idaho. Before her appointment, she served as an assistant chief counsel for ICE, DHS, in Seattle (2003-2008). Earlier, she was an assistant district counsel with the former Immigration and Naturalization Service (1990-2003), which she entered through the Attorney General's Honors Program.
