Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Sheila Mcnulty earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1984 from Miami University of Ohio and a Juris Doctor in 1991 from the New England School of Law. She served as a trial attorney for the former Immigration and Naturalization Service beginning in 1991 and later as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney with INS and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Chicago. She was appointed as an immigration judge at the Chicago Immigration Court in October 2010, and subsequently served as an Assistant Chief Immigration Judge and Regional Deputy Chief Immigration Judge before being named Chief Immigration Judge in April 2023. Judge Mcnulty is a member of the Illinois Bar.
