Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Irma Diaz earned a Bachelor of Science in 2004 from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York and a Juris Doctor in 2013 from Pace University's Elisabeth Haub School of Law. From 2022 to 2024, she served as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in Los Fresnos, Texas. From 2016 to 2022, she was an immigration attorney and later partner at the Law Firm of Anayancy Housman, and from 2014 to 2016 an immigration attorney at the Westchester Hispanic Coalition. She is a captain in the U.S. Army Reserves Judge Advocate General's Corps.
