Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Denise A. Marks Lane earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1983 from Howard University and a Juris Doctor in 1986 from Georgetown University Law Center. Before her appointment, she served as a staff attorney with the Board of Immigration Appeals, Executive Office for Immigration Review, in Falls Church, Virginia (1989-1994), as a trial attorney for the former Immigration and Naturalization Service in New York (1987-1989), and as a judicial law clerk with the Office of the Chief Immigration Judge (1986-1987).
