Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Andrea Koppenhofer earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1988 from Dominican University and a Juris Doctor in 1991 from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. She served as an assistant state's attorney in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office (1991-1995) and in private practice in Illinois and Colorado. From 2011 to 2016 she was a district court magistrate in Colorado's 19th Judicial District, and from 2016 to 2020 she served as a municipal relief judge for several Colorado cities. She is a member of the Colorado and Illinois state bars.
