Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Sherron Ashworth earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1997 from Louisiana College and a Juris Doctor in 2004 from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. From 2009 to 2020, she served as an assistant chief counsel in the Office of Chief Counsel, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in Oakdale, Louisiana. She earlier served as an assistant district attorney in Allen Parish (2006-2009), an associate at Bolen, Parker & Brenner (2005-2006), and a law clerk at the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeals (2004-2005). Judge Ashworth is a member of the Louisiana State Bar.
