Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Romaine White earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1983 from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor in 1986 from the University of Georgia School of Law. From 2012 to 2021 she served as an administrative law judge for the State of Louisiana, and she was a sole practitioner in Houma, Louisiana (1999-2001, 2004-2021) and an assistant parish attorney. Earlier she was deputy general counsel for the State Bar of Georgia (1997-1998), a senior assistant city attorney for Atlanta (1991-1997), and an associate attorney with Griffin, Cochrane, & Marshall (1986-1991). She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Louisiana State Bar.
