Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Richard R. Ozmun earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1968 from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, and a Juris Doctor in 1977 from the University of Oklahoma. He retired from the U.S. Navy in July 2002 after 33 years of service. He previously served as an immigration judge in Los Angeles before his assignment to the El Paso Immigration Court in October 2002. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the U.S. Supreme Court.
