Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Margaret R MacGregor earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor in 1999 from the University of Arizona College of Law. She served as an attorney advisor at the Board of Immigration Appeals, Executive Office for Immigration Review, from 2009 to 2023, and earlier worked as an associate at Berry, Appleman & Leiden and Reina & Associates in Dallas, as a deputy attorney general for the State of New Jersey, and as a law clerk in the New Jersey family court. The Executive Office for Immigration Review appointed her to the immigration bench in August 2023.
