Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Margaret Mcmanus earned a Bachelor of Arts from the Catholic University of America in 1973 and a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1983. She was a staff attorney at The Legal Aid Society's Immigration Unit from 1983 to 1987 and an adjunct clinical law professor at CUNY Law School from 1988 to 1989. She also worked in private practice and as a consultant with nonprofit organizations, including Catholic Charities, before her appointment to the bench. Judge Mcmanus is a member of the New York Bar.
