Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Joanna M Bukszpan earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1963 from the City University of New York and a Juris Doctor in 1976 from Brooklyn Law School. Before her appointment, she maintained her own legal practice in New York for seventeen years (1978-1995) and earlier served as a trial/general attorney for the former Immigration and Naturalization Service in New York (1976-1978).
