Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Illya-Karina J Bonet earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 from Syracuse University, a Juris Doctor in 2003, and a Master of Laws focused on human rights from Northwestern University. From 2015 to 2022 she maintained a private immigration practice in Miami, and earlier worked as an associate attorney at several Miami law firms.
