Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Harold R Moroz earned a Bachelor of Science in 1979 from the University of the State of New York, a Graduate Certificate in International Law and Diplomacy in 1981 from St. John's University, and a Juris Doctor in 1995 from the University of the District of Columbia School of Law. Before his appointment, he served as deputy chief assistant district attorney for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit in Camden County, Georgia (2023-2025) and earlier held a similar role for the Dougherty Judicial Circuit in Albany, Georgia (2016-2023). He also served as a staff attorney and acting judge for the Gwinnett County Probate Court, chief judge of the St. Marys Municipal Court, and a magistrate judge for Camden County. He is a retired U.S. Army officer and a member of the Georgia State Bar.
