Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Charles M Honeyman was appointed an immigration judge in September 1995, serving at the New York City Immigration Court from 1995 to 2001 before his assignment to the Philadelphia Immigration Court in March 2001. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1971 from Roanoke College, a Master of Arts in 1975 from Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Public Policy in 1977 from the University of Michigan, and a Juris Doctor in 1981 from the University of Baltimore. Before the bench, he was a partner with Cohen & Honeyman Immigration Attorneys in Philadelphia (1992-1995) and held associate and partner roles at immigration firms in Philadelphia and Baltimore beginning in 1981, and served as an adjunct professor at Villanova University Law School. He is a member of the Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey Bars.
