Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Cassie A. Thogersen earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1993 from Southeastern Louisiana University, a Master of Social Work in 1996 from Washington University, and a Juris Doctor in 1999 from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She served as deputy chief counsel and assistant chief counsel in the Office of Chief Counsel at Immigration and Customs Enforcement from 2008 to 2018. Earlier she was a senior attorney advisor in the Office of General Counsel at the Department of Health and Human Services (2001-2008) and a policy analyst with the Indian Health Service (1999-2001). She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar.
