Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Anwer A. Khan earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2003 from UCLA and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Before his appointment, he served as an assistant chief counsel with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Houston (2017-2019) and Los Angeles (2008-2017), including as a special assistant U.S. attorney for the Central District of California (2015-2017). He began his career as a judicial law clerk for the Executive Office for Immigration Review in Phoenix (2006-2007).
