Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Anthony E Maingot earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1981 from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor in 1991 from the University of Miami School of Law. Before his appointment, he served as an assistant chief counsel for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement/DHS in Miami (1997-2017), as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Arizona in Tucson, and earlier as an assistant public defender in the Miami-Dade County Public Defender's Office (1991-1997).
