Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Andrew J Slitt earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1992 and a Juris Doctor in 1999, both from the University of Connecticut. From December 2021 to March 2026 he served as a supervisory assistant state's attorney with the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice, and from September 2008 to December 2021 as a senior assistant state's attorney in the Windham Judicial District. From 2000 to 2008 he served on active duty in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, and he has continued to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve since 2012, holding the rank of lieutenant colonel. He is a member of the Connecticut bar.
