Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Alex Perez earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2006 from Northwestern University and a Juris Doctor in 2009 from the University of Houston Law Center. Before his appointment, he served as a deputy chief counsel (2019-2022) and assistant chief counsel (2010-2019) with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in Houston, and was in private practice in Houston (2009-2010).
