Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Alberto DePuy earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2002 from Louisiana State University and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from Tulane University Law School. He served as an administrative law judge with the Louisiana Division of Administrative Law from 2021 to 2023 and as an assistant attorney general with the Louisiana Department of Justice from 2014 to 2021. Earlier he was a policy advisor in the Louisiana Office of the Governor (2011-2014) and an assistant district attorney in Calcasieu Parish (2007-2011) and Orleans Parish (2006-2007). He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar.
