The Honorable Immigration Judge Veronique N. DeRouselle was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in August 2026. Judge DeRouselle earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 from the University of California, Riverside, and a Juris Doctor in 2000 from the College of William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law. From September 2025 to August 2026, and previously from August 2020 to July 2023, Judge DeRouselle served as an attorney with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Houston. From August 2024 to September 2025, Judge DeRouselle served as an attorney in the Office of Counsel, Naval Sea Systems Command, in Washington, D.C. From July 2023 to August 2024, Judge DeRouselle served as an attorney in the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, Department of the Air Force, at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. From June 2001 to November 2020, Judge DeRouselle served in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General's Corps in numerous roles, including chief of the claims division, chief of civil law, chief of military justice, chief of the contracts division, area defense counsel, medical law attorney, deputy staff judge advocate, and chief of the Medical Law Field Support Center, at stations including Langley Air Force Base, Virginia; Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas; Arlington, Virginia; and Joint Bases San Antonio-Randolph, Andrews, and San Antonio-Lackland. Judge DeRouselle is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
