Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Thomas C. Roepke earned a Bachelor of Arts from Morningside College in 1972 and a juris doctorate from Texas Tech University in 1976. Before his appointment, he worked as a special assistant U.S. attorney with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from 1988 to 2005, as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas in Houston (1987-1988), and as an assistant district attorney for the 34th District of Texas in El Paso (1976-1987). He is a member of the Texas State Bar.
