Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Stuart Douglas Alcorn earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1994 from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Juris Doctor in 2004 from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. Before his appointment he served as an assistant chief counsel for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (2008-2018) and as a military defense attorney in the JAG Corps (2008-2017). Earlier he was a military prosecutor and command judge advocate (2005-2008) and a special assistant U.S. attorney in Columbus, Georgia.
