Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Stephanie Gorman earned a Bachelor of Science in 1996 from California State University, Sacramento, a Juris Doctor in 2002 from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and a Master of Laws in 2005 from the University of San Diego School of Law. She served as an attorney and legal instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Georgia (2014-2017), as an assistant chief counsel for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (2008-2014), and as a special assistant U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Florida (2009-2012). Earlier she clerked for two federal judges in San Diego, was an assistant state attorney in Florida, and taught at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. She is a member of the California and Florida state bars.
