Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Robert S. Hough earned an undergraduate degree in 1979 and a juris doctorate in 1982, both from Tulane University. Before his appointment, he served as an assistant chief counsel with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, from February 1989 to January 2005, and served on active duty in the U.S. Army from 1982 to 1989 and in the reserves thereafter. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar.
