The Honorable Immigration Judge Peter T McCary earned a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in 2007 from Duke University and a Juris Doctor in 2010 from Duke University School of Law. From 2010 to March 2026, he served with the Internal Revenue Service, Office of Chief Counsel. He also served as a captain in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corps. He is a member of the Florida and Georgia bars.
