Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Patrick D. Barrett earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2005 from Boston College and a Juris Doctor in 2008 from the University of San Diego School of Law. From 2017 to 2023, he served as an assistant chief counsel with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Office of the Principal Legal Advisor in Adelanto, California. From 2009 to 2017, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, stationed at posts including Fort Jackson, Fort Knox, Kandahar Airfield, and Scott Air Force Base. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
