Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Matt McLeod earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2002 from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctor in 2015 from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He served as a U.S. Army infantry officer (2004-2012), as an assistant district attorney in the Shelby County District Attorney's Office in Memphis (2016-2020), and as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Texas (2020-2026). He was appointed an immigration judge in March 2026 and assigned to the Memphis Immigration Court.
