Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Marium S. Uddin earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 from Rice University and a Juris Doctor in 2000 from the University of Texas School of Law. Before her appointment, she served as an assistant chief counsel with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Dallas (2016-2018), as an assistant district attorney with the Dallas County District Attorney's Office (2015-2016), and as an assistant public defender with the Dallas County Public Defender's Office (2011-2015); she earlier served as an assistant district attorney with the El Paso County District Attorney's Office (2001-2002 and 2005-2010). She is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
