Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Lisa Strader earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1994 from the University of Cincinnati, a Juris Doctor in 1998 from Capital University Law School, and a Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution (projected 2026) from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. From November 2023 to May 2026, she served as senior assistant district counsel for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Fort Worth and Omaha Districts. From April 2017 to November 2023, she was an assistant attorney general for the State of Ohio, and from October 2002 to April 2017 she operated her own private practice in Columbus, Ohio. Judge Strader is a member of the Ohio Bar.
